The effects of suicide ripple across our community. Come hear stories of hope, recovery, healing, and how each of us can be part of the solution.
How we publicly communicate and talk about suicide can have a negative or positive impact. Hear from local suicide prevention experts and community members on how communication can be a powerful tool to promote resiliency, encourage help-seeking, and save lives.
Event Details: During the first 15 minutes suicide prevention experts will describe Suicide Prevention Safe Messaging. For the remainder of the evening attendees will hear from individuals who have survived a suicide attempt, lost a loved one, and two local community resources. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask speakers questions at the end of the event.
